STPS500 is a pyrotechnic switch (PyroFuse) from Sensata that disconnects high-voltage batteries in electric vehicles, aviation including eVTOL, and industrial systems.
Continuous current up to 500 A, bidirectional
Breaking capacity 16000 A/1000 V or 20000 A/500 V
Response time 1 ms with active external triggering
Post-break insulation above 50 MΩ at 1000 V
Sealed housing with no gas release during interruption
Busbar mounting, 230 g, -40 °C to +85 °C
Irreversible, single-use current separation
