This revolutionary contactor from Gigavac i called GX46 and is based on EPIC™ technology (Extended Performance Impervious Ceramics). GX46 handles voltages from 12V to 800V both AC and DC and currents up to 5000A.

The contactor housing withstands 150°C, without melting or discoloring, and is the same technology that previously only has been used in more expensive products in the aerospace industry.

The GX46 is hermetically sealed and meets the demands for UL1604 class I, II and III for use in risky environments, IP67 to temporarily be immersed in water (30 minutes), SAE J1171 for external spark protection and ISO8846 for protection against sparks in flammable gases.

The GX46 has built in coil suppression and all mounting details are manufactured in stainless steel to assure many years of operation without corrosion, no matter which environment it is used in.
