VIPA Micro PLC -ohjausyksikössä on sisäänrakennettuna 16 digitaalista tuloliitäntää (DI), 12 digitaalista lähtöliitäntää (DO), 2 analogista tuloliitäntää (AI) (mA tai V) ja 2 PWM-tuloliitäntää, ja sitä voidaan laajentaa 8 lisä-I/O-moduulilla. Siinä on 128 kB sisäistä muistia.
Micro PLC -ohjain voi kommunikoida MPI-, Profibus- ja Modbus RTU / TCP -protokollien kautta, ja se on Profinet-yhteensopiva. Ohjelmoitavissa SPEED7 Studio-, Siemens SIMATIC Manager- tai Siemens TIA Portal -ohjelmistoilla.
