This connector combines two CAN termination resistors and
provides easy and quick termination to any high-speed CAN or
CAN FD product. The connector is used when a CAN node
without internal termination needs to be terminated or if no
CAN node is connected at the end of the CAN bus.
According to ISO 11898-2, high-speed CAN buses / systems must
be terminated at their ends by resistors.
The D-Sub termination connector has a 9-pin male D-Sub plug at
one end and a 9-pin female D-Sub socket at the other and can
also be used for CAN FD buses.
